FCC Regulatory Fees Due September 22, 2009
Broadcast licensees who are required to pay annual regulatory fees for fiscal year 2009 must submit their payments to the FCC no later than 11:59 p.m. on September 22, 2009, to avoid a 25 percent late payment penalty charge. Licensees should visit the FCC’s Regulatory Fees Web site at http://www.fcc.gov/fees/regfees.html to gather information about their fiscal year 2009 regulatory fees.

NAB Staff Gets Extreme
In June 2009, the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) honored “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” with the Celebration of Service to America Leadership Award. The Leadership Award is NABEF’s highest honor and was given to “Extreme Makeover” in recognition of the program’s extraordinary public service. NAB staff had another opportunity to honor and serve this program by volunteering at an actual “Extreme Makeover” underway last week in Washington, D.C.
