NAB Television Board Chairman Paul Karpowicz has appointed Madelyn Bonnot Griffin, vice president of operations at National Communications, Inc., to the NAB Television Board of Directors.

In her role, Bonnot Griffin oversees three outlets in Lake Charles, La., and Beaumont, Texas – KVHP-TV, CW7 and KUIL-TV. Prior to working at National Communications, Bonnot Griffin was responsible for establishing an advertising sales division as general manager of Cox Cable/Cable Rep in New Orleans. She later served as senior vice president of operations for Qwest Broadcasting and Quincy Jones Broadcasting Company before becoming vice president of television operations for Emmis Communications.

Bonnot Griffin's media career began in New Orleans, where she worked as an account executive for the CBS and NBC affiliates, as well as the Figaro Newspaper and Go Tourist Magazine. An active philanthropist, she has served on committees for Junior Achievement, Partnerships in Education, United Way, and currently works with The Quincy Jones Foundation. She also co-chairs the NAB's Small Market Television Advisory Committee and has served on the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) board of governors, the NATPE Educational Foundation and is past president of the New Orleans chapter of American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT).
