NAB Statement on the Passing of Sen. Lindsey Graham

Washington, D.C. – In response to the passing of Sen. Lindsey Graham, the following statement can be attributed to NAB President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt:

"NAB extends our deepest condolences to Sen. Lindsey Graham’s family, loved ones, colleagues and the people of South Carolina. America has lost a dedicated public servant, and South Carolina has lost a tireless advocate.

Throughout his decades in Congress, Sen. Graham brought conviction, energy and an unwavering commitment to strengthening our nation.

Sen. Graham also understood the importance of local journalism to our democracy, and he championed vital protections for reporters, content creators and the role of local broadcasters. We are grateful for his leadership and his recognition of journalism’s indispensable role in keeping communities informed and safe."
