'Made in Georgia' Session Brings Top Showrunners and Entertainment Executives to NAB Show

-- Session Presented by Georgia Production Partnership --

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- NAB Show and Georgia Production Partnership will present “Made in Georgia: Shaking up the Film and Digital Media Production Landscape,” a Main Stage panel discussion exploring the evolution of Georgia's booming production hub. The panel will take place on Monday, April 9 at 3:30 p.m. in the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The open-to-all session will be moderated by Clark Cofer, co-president of the Georgia Production Partnership and director of Business Development, Light Iron Atlanta.

In the last decade, Georgia has broken through the traditional production landscape to become a powerhouse site for the film, television and digital media industries. Its presence has grown by extraordinary proportions, including a $9.5 billion fiscal impact on the state in the past year alone.

While a favorable tax incentive predicted the surge of opportunity, the state has much more to offer. Budding with diversity, creativity, a range of landscapes, multicultural talent, crew, an assortment of infrastructure and facilities, Georgia has established itself as one of the top production hubs in the world.

Session participants include:

Karin Gist, Executive Producer and Showrunner for “STAR"
Patrick Piper, Supervising Producer, Floyd County Productions (“Archer,” “America: The Motion Picture”)
Ed Richardson, Founder and Managing Partner, Atlanta Metro Studios & 404 Studio Partners
Kevin Bar, Head of Creative and Production at Harbor Picture Company

“Georgia’s explosive growth in production year to year has been impressive to watch,” said Chris Brown, NAB executive vice president, Conventions and Business Operations. “We welcome these top players from one of the largest production hubs in the world to NAB Show and look forward to an in-depth conversation about all that Georgia has to offer.”
