Eric Trabb Joins NAB as SVP, Business Development

WASHINGTON, DC -- NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown announced that Eric Trabb will join the organization today as Senior Vice President of Business Development. In his new role, Trabb will be responsible for leading and managing the association’s sales team.

NAB events include NAB Show, the world's largest convention encompassing the convergence of media, entertainment and technology; NAB Show New York; NAB Show Shanghai; and the Radio Show, which is coproduced with the Radio Advertising Bureau.

Trabb has served for the past 11 years as vice president of sales and group publisher for the Broadcast/Video Group at NewBay Media, publisher of Broadcasting & Cable, MultiChannel News, TV Technology and Radio World, among other industry trade publications. At NewBay, Trabb managed sales for 14 publications and adjacent websites as well as show dailies, trade shows and other events.

“Eric is well-connected within the industries that NAB events and programs serve,” said Chris Brown. “His 25+ years of experience leading national and international sales teams, combined with his proven track record in b2b sales generation around media and entertainment, will be a great asset to NAB’s business operations.”

Prior to NewBay, Trabb worked in sales and was later promoted to publisher at Imas Publishing, where he worked from 1993 – 2007 and which was acquired by NewBay Media in 2007.

Eric can be reached at etrabb@nab.org and (202) 429-5382.
