WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the announcement that Cary Sherman will retire as Chairman and CEO of RIAA at the end of 2018, and Mitch Glazier has been promoted to President of the organization, the following statement may be attributed to NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith:
"I have tremendous respect for Cary Sherman as an effective advocate and a straight shooter. I appreciate the positive relationship we share despite our organizationsí sometimes divergent positions, and I wish him well in his transition to retirement.
