Washington, D.C./Los Angeles, CA -- The National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) is partnering for the first time with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) to offer a unique and timely program focused on data analytics and addressability. Claudio Marcus, vice president of Strategy at Comcast Advertising, will deliver the opening keynote. Produced by NATPE, the new Analytics & Addressability online forum will be presented October 22 as part of NAB Show New York.

The NATPE Virtual event is designed for experts in audience research, data technology, brand advertising, programming, and promotional marketing. The forum will address key questions related to brands, data, addressable TV, content development and audience measurement.

The fast-paced two-hour program starts at 12:00 p.m. ET with host Carlos Greer, the entertainment journalist and recent co-host of the syndicated entertainment news TV program, Page Six. The Analytics & Addressability track will feature five succinct sessions, 15 and 30 minutes in length.

“One session that attendees will especially enjoy features a case study by PBS Kids about the use of data and its influence on sales of licensed merchandise. The session is featuring Andrea Schutzman, director of audience insights at PBS and Jonathan Watson, CPO at Kids Insights,” said JP Bommel, CEO and president of NATPE.

“The addition of NATPE’s Analytics & Addressability program brings this timely and relevant topic to the forefront at NAB Show New York in a format that is sure to inform and engage,” said NAB President and CEO Gordon Smith. “We are pleased to partner with NATPE in adding this new track targeted specifically for content developers, audience research professionals and data-driven decision makers.”

Other sessions include the opening conversation about shifts in consumer attitudes since the beginning of the pandemic, entitled “Is What We Knew No Longer True?”. Another discussion focuses on strategic applications for abundantly available data on television viewers and video consumers. Panelists will also explore optimal data for use in making content decisions and best practices for applying data analytics to addressable consumer advertising.

Bommel added, “We are thrilled to be partnering with NAB Show New York to offer advertising tech and sales executives, media planners, brands, producers and network programmers as well as data technology experts, the opportunity to discover how to best leverage the latest tech updates and effectively utilize the overwhelming amount of viewer data now available.”

Registration is $99 for this first-time collaboration.

Qualified press are encouraged to register to receive complimentary access to this session and more.
