NAB Statement on Introduction of Radio Consumer Protection Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the introduction last night of the "Radio Consumer Protection Act" by Reps. Bill Flores (R-TX-17) and Gene Green (D-TX-29), the following statement can be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

“The legislation introduced by Reps. Flores and Green would help fulfill the promise to hold local broadcasters harmless during the incentive auction. We applaud their efforts to protect and reimburse the 678 radio stations – and their countless listeners – that would be impacted by the auction repack. We strongly support this bill and will work with Congress to resolve this issue.”
