International Broadcasting Excellence Award Recipients to be Honored at NAB Show
Tokyo Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS), NDTV India and Canada's 106.1 FM, "The Goat" will receive this year's National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) International Broadcasting Excellence Awards at the NAB Show All-Industry Opening Keynote, sponsored by Accenture, on Monday, April 14. The awards recognize NAB international broadcast members who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and uniqueness in successfully serving their audience through broadcast innovation or service to community.

NAB Challenges Internet Streaming Decision
The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) filed a brief with the D.C. Circuit Court challenging the Copyright Royalty Board (CRB) decision that drastically increased the amount of money paid by local radio stations and webcasters for sound recordings streamed over the Internet. The brief, jointly filed with appellants Bonneville International Corporation and the National Religious Broadcasters Music License Committee, argues that the CRB failed to follow the statutory standards for rate-setting and ultimately adopted a rate structure founded upon flawed methodology.

NAB President and CEO David K. Rehr sent the following letter to Community Broadcasters Association's Peter Tannewald in response to a Communications Daily front page story on March 3, 2008, reporting that Community Broadcasters Association (CBA) officials were threatening to "disrupt efforts to educate viewers about the [digital television] transition if their concerns aren't dealt with."
