Radio offers its listeners so many things that an MP3 player, satellite radio and the Internet cannot - like a personal connection with the audience via community service campaigns. Learn what works best, what to avoid and why these campaigns are vital to a station's survival, all from a Crystal Radio Award-winning panel of experts.
"Connecting to Your Audience with Community Service Campaigns," will take place on Tuesday, April 15 at 9 a.m. in the Las Vegas Convention Center. The session, which promises to be packed with immediate impact information for managers to take back to their stations and use directly, will take place just hours prior to the announcement of the 2008 Crystal Radio Award recipients and will feature the following multiple Crystal Award Winners:
Loraine Ballard Morrill, News and Community Affairs Director for Clear Channel Radio Philadelphia will moderate the session. WUSL-FM has garnered the station a record five Crystal Radio Awards and most recently, the NAB's first Crystal Heritage Award.
Omni Broadcasting's Mary Campbell is the vice president and CEO of the Bemidji, Minn. station group whose station, KBHP-FM, won Crystal Radio Awards in 1994, 1997, 1999, and most recently 2007.
Bonneville Salt Lake Radio Group's Vice President and General Manager Chris Redgrave will also serve on the panel of this award-winning session. KSL-AM, a Salt Lake City, Utah cornerstone station has won Crystal Radio Awards in 1999 and 2006, and is a finalist for a 2008 Crystal Radio Award.
