Committee on Local Radio Audience Measurement

The NAB Committee on Local Radio Audience Measurement consists of volunteer broadcasters from NAB member organizations and other industry leaders serving the research interests of radio.

Mission Statement (Revised January 2002):

  • To seek new and improved ways to measure local radio audience listening.
  • To proactively monitor developments among radio research providers and to receive formal updates from such companies at semi-annual meetings.
  • To collaborate with radio research companies in the evaluation of their services and practices to ensure accurate, reliable audience research data for broadcasters.
  • To evaluate research based on its value and utility for local radio broadcasters.
  • To work independently and with other industry advisory groups to communicate and advocate broadcasters' research concerns to radio measurement services.
  • To serve as a resource for NAB member stations and for the industry on issues requiring radio research expertise.
