Executives from DraftKings and McAfee to Headline 2017 NAB Show New York Opening Session

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- The opening event for the 2017 NAB Show New York will feature Paul Liberman, chief operating officer and co-founder of DraftKings, the sports-tech entertainment platform, and Gary Davis, chief consumer security evangelist at McAfee, a leading cybersecurity company. The session, scheduled for Wednesday, October 18 at 10:30 a.m., will focus on cybersecurity applications and implications for media and technology.

Produced by the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), NAB Show New York will take place October 18 - 19 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Titled “DraftKings, McAfee and the Future of Cybersecurity,” the opening session will focus on trends in digital security, including evolving threats and best practices for protecting the safety and privacy of businesses and customers. In an age of growing connectivity and online commerce, security is paramount in protecting businesses and consumers from fraud, theft of intellectual property, ransomware attacks, “fake news” scams, and hacking.

“Ensuring safety and privacy is a daily priority for these two individuals and a growing concern for media and entertainment companies. These executives represent two companies that are leading the way by innovating and working with legal authorities to ensure that tech platforms are compliant,” said NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown. “This session will provide critical insight on cybersecurity and how businesses can protect themselves from growing threats.”

Paul Liberman, along with two coworkers from VistaPrint, founded DraftKings in 2012. The company started as a small operation out of Liberman’s spare bedroom, and grew rapidly into the leading daily fantasy sports (DFS) platform it is today.

As chief consumer security evangelist at McAfee, Gary Davis partners with internal teams to drive strategic alignment of products with the needs of the security space. Davis also provides security education to businesses and consumers by distilling complex security topics into actionable advice.
