Hour of Power: 'Nerdist' Meets Icon

--Tech Guru Chris Hardwick Will Join Comic Book Legend Stan Lee As Moderator For 2010 NAB Show Session--

LAS VEGAS -- The NAB Show, the annual conference and expo for professionals who create, manage and distribute entertainment across all platforms, announced today that actor, comedian and technology commentator Chris Hardwick of "Web Soup" and Nerdist.com fame will moderate "In Conversation with: Stan Lee" at the 2010 NAB Show. The session is set for Wednesday, April 14 at 9:00 am.

Hardwick will record the session for subsequent broadcast on "The Nerdist," his newly launched podcast, which in recent weeks has welcomed celebrity guests like "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm, Drew Carey, and Linkin Park lead singer Mike Shinoda.

Stan Lee is the Founder of POW! Entertainment and has served as its Chairman and Chief Creative Officer since inception. He is also known as the man whose super heroes propelled Marvel to its preeminent position in the comic book industry.

His co-creations include Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, X-Men, The Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Daredevil, Silver Surfer and Dr. Strange. Now the Chairman Emeritus of Marvel Media, Lee creates new intellectual property for POW!, which has been in operation since 2001.

"In Conversation with: Stan Lee" will focus on Mr. Lee's history, his process for creating flawed and believable comic book heroes, his recent projects with POW!, and his incredible contributions to modern mythology.

Stan Lee said, "Wow! I'm really looking forward to being on the bill at the great NAB Show and talking about the one subject on which I'm something of an authority-- me! While still dreaming up new projects at POW! Entertainment, I get a kick out of watching my comicbook heroes take on a new life in every form of media-- and now in 3D! My career has been a wild ride and it will be fun to relive some of the great moments on stage at NAB Show."

Chris Hardwick said, "I am truly honored to have the opportunity to chat with Stan Lee, a man more fascinating to me than any comic book character. The fact that the NAB Show is allowing me to freely put this out as an episode of the Nerdist Podcast is a wonderful gift to the legions of Stan Fans who will not be able to attend this exciting event. As one of Mr. Lee's loyal 'true believers,' I am ready to listen up!"

Chris Hardwick is a writer and producer for, and the host of, G4 TV's "Web Soup." He is also the resident Tech Correspondent for G4's flagship program "Attack of the Show," a recurring panelist on "Chelsea Lately" and is a contributing writer for Wired Magazine. @nerdist, Hardwick's Twitter profile, has 1.3 million followers.
