GCAP Media's David Mansfield and Emmis Communications' Jeff Smulyan to Speak at NAB European Radio Convention

--International Radio Experts Featured at Leadership Forum--

WASHINGTON, DC - NAB announced today that GCap Media Chief Executive David Mansfield and Emmis Communications Chairman of the Board Jeff Smulyan will speak at The NAB European Radio Conference Leadership Forum: Leading into the Future, October 24 in Athens, Greece.

At the opening keynote session, Mansfield and Smulyan will discuss their views and vision of the future for the industry and identify challenges facing radio.

After operating two radio stations - WNTS in Indianapolis and KCRO in Omaha - Smulyan formed and became principal shareholder of Emmis Communications Corporation in 1980. Emmis, an Indianapolis-based radio, TV and magazine publishing company, has operations in 24 U.S. markets and Hungary, Belgium and Slovakia. Smulyan serves on the NAB board of directors and is former chairman of the Radio Advertising Bureau board of directors. In 2000, Smulyan was honored with the NAB's National Radio Award and Radio Ink's "Radio Executive of the Year." In 1995 Radio and Records voted Smulyan one of the 10 most influential radio executives of the past two decades. In 2004, he was inducted into the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame.

Mansfield joined the Board of Capital Radio as Commercial Director in January 1993 and was appointed Chief Executive of Capital Radio in July 1997. He is a director of the Radio Advertising Bureau Limited, the Commercial Radio Companies Association, the Digital Radio Development Bureau Limited and Digital Radio Plus Limited. Mansfield was instrumental in bringing about the recent merger between Capital Radio PLC and GWR, resulting in GCap Media, the UK's largest commercial radio company. The company owns 54 local analog radio stations, 100 digital radio stations and owns or has an interest in 28 digital radio multiplexes.

The NAB European Radio Conference is an annual event held in Europe. This year's event takes place October 23 - 25 in Athens, Greece. The conference provides idea-generating sessions and key networking events for station owners, operators, managers, programmers, sales and promotion managers.

The National Association of Broadcasters is a full-service trade association that promotes and protects free, over-the-air local radio and television stations' interests in Washington and around the world. NAB is the broadcaster's voice before Congress, federal agencies, and the courts. NAB also serves a growing number of associate and international broadcaster members.
