The NAB Pulse

Reminder: COVID-19 Spots that Focus on Mental Wellness Available

NAB has produced public service announcements (PSAs) for stations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. They are available here for TV stations and here for radio stations. The PSAs focus on a mental wellness message of hope and encouragement for Americans, and direct listeners and viewers to WeAreBroadcasters.com/Hope.

The spots are closed captioned and available in :30 and :15, English and Spanish. Please note: if you customize the PSA, it may strip the closed captioning. Please be sure your PSAs are closed captioned before airing.

To date, stations have donated an immense amount of airtime to NAB's COVID-19 PSAs. Since March 12, stations have aired the PSAs 697,409 times for an estimated ad value of $146,370,440. This does not include station-produced PSAs and spots from other organizations, which we know broadcasters are also running.

Beyond these new spots, numerous organizational resources are available to stations through the NAB Coronavirus Response Toolkit. The tools include guidance on prevention and precautions, creating response management teams and trusted sources.

NAB thanks you for your extraordinary service to your communities. We will alert you as new tools become available in the coming days. In the meantime, don't hesitate to contact us at nab@nab.org with any questions.
