NAB Crystal Radio Awards Deadline February 1

WASHINGTON, DC - The National Association of Broadcasters' 2007 Crystal Radio Awards entry information is now available online. Entry deadline is February 1.

Finalists will be honored and winners announced at the NAB Radio Luncheon, sponsored by ASCAP, Tuesday, April 17, during NAB2007 in Las Vegas. Winners will also be honored at the Service to America Gala in Washington, DC on June 11.

The NAB Crystal Radio Awards recognize radio stations for their outstanding year-round commitment to community service. To enter, a station must submit a 12-page document summarizing their community service efforts for the past year.

"Communities across the country rely on their local radio stations to be there for them in times of crisis, as well as to help make a difference through their local schools and organizations," said John David, NAB Executive Vice President of Radio. "It's our privilege at NAB to acknowledge and honor the great efforts made by radio stations to serve their communities."

Crystal Radio Award finalists and winners will be chosen by judges from the broadcast and community service fields. Entry information is available on NAB's Web site at www.nab.org or by calling Chris Suever at 202-775-3511.
