FCC Again Seeks Comment on Media Ownership Restrictions
As part of the quadrennial review of its broadcast ownership rules, the FCC released a Notice of Inquiry (NOI) on May 25. Federal law requires the Commission to review its broadcast ownership rules every four years to determine whether the rules continue to serve the public interest.

The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) celebrated the 12th annual Service to America Awards, in Washington, D.C. on June 14. The dinner and awards ceremony recognized the exceptional public service contributions of radio and television broadcasters, and also featured the presentation of NABEF's highest honor, the Service to America Leadership Award, to Starkey Hearing Foundation organizers William and Tani Austin.

Encourage Responsible Fan Behavior this Summer
Kick off the summer safely by airing public service announcements (PSAs) from Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management (TEAM) Coalition that promote responsible drinking and positive fan behavior at sporting and entertainment facilities. The PSAs are directed at sports-minded fans and feature players from professional and collegiate sports teams that educate fans on traffic safety, especially the use of designated drivers.
