Haiti's Signal FM Radio to be Honored at NABEF's Service to America Awards
NABEF's Celebration of Service to America Awards will honor Haiti's Signal FM radio for their outstanding service to the Haitian community during the aftermath of the recent earthquake disaster. Station owner Mario Viau will accept the award during the Celebration of Service to America gala held Monday, June 14, at the Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill. Now in its 12th year, the Celebration of Service to America Awards recognizes outstanding community service by local broadcasters.

The Political Broadcast Catechism answers many of your questions and will help you find solutions to the most common political broadcasting questions during the election season. The NAB Legal team, in collaboration with some of Washington, D.C.'s top communications counsel, and in consultation with FCC staff, created the Political Broadcast Forms to assist broadcast stations with their political candidate advertising campaigns.

Stop by the NAB Public Service Initiatives Pavilion at booth #N6138 in the North Hall at the 2010 NAB Show to obtain free public service materials and meet representatives from NAB's multiple public service partners, including the Ad Council, the American Red Cross, the Corporation for National and Community Service and the Partnership for a Drug-Free America. More than 20 national nonprofit organizations will be represented at the NAB Public Service Pavilion with materials designed to assist you in enhancing your station's public service initiatives. NABEF Fellowships for NAB Executive Development Seminar - Application Deadline is April 30
The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) will award eight fellowships to people of color and women in broadcasting to attend the NAB Executive Development Seminar held July 26-29 at NAB headquarters in Washington, D.C.
The seminar is designed to increase managerial effectiveness and provide the additional skills needed for career advancement.
