Michael J. Fox to Receive NAB Distinguished Service Award

Michael J. Fox, actor, author and devoted advocate for increased funding for Parkinson's disease research, will receive the NAB Distinguished Service Award during the 2010 NAB Show. Fox will be honored for the impact his career has had on the television industry, as well as his commitment to raising awareness for Parkinson's disease through The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The award will be presented during the All Industry Opening Keynote address on April 12, 2010, in Las Vegas.

Crystal Radio Awards Spotlight
KUAD-FM Windsor, Colo. - When a tornado struck their listening area, KUAD provided non-stop emergency coverage and updates, and then organized events to raise money for relief efforts. KUAD also raised money for area high school safe prom activities by holding a "Re-Prom," a dance for all ages to relive their own prom memories. The station's "One Extra Gift" and "Charley's Sleigh Riders Run" also helped make the holidays brighter for underprivileged children.
