WASHINGTON, D.C. – NAB Show New York will shine a spotlight on creativity, innovation and collaboration, announcing the winner and full contest review of “Empire State of Mind presented by Bamboo.” This first-of-its-kind photo contest is seeking the next great photographer for a chance to direct a photoshoot on the streets of New York City with social media influencer and expert strategist Avori Henderson, shoot her next merch drop, speak at NAB Show New York and win $4000.

Creators will apply online via the newly released Bamboo App and build a collaborative feed with their team to showcase their artistic style. Contestants must enter by October 19, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Read more on NAB Amplify.

Henderson will join Bamboo CEO Nick Urbom at NAB Show New York’s Empire State of Mind: Photo Contest Finale to announce the winner and present a case study of the participants. The session will discuss how to blend visual mediums with new storytelling techniques, leverage still and moving pictures by social media channel and monetize content with winning strategies. This session will be held on October 26 at 11:30 a.m. on the show floor of the Javits Convention Center, in the new Photo+Video Lab.

Also new at the 2023 NAB Show New York in the Photo+Video Lab is Fujifilm Photowalks. Explore Hudson Yards with a camera, lighting equipment, model and a pro guide.
