NAB Statement on Nomination of David Redl as NTIA Administrator

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to nomination of House Energy and Commerce Committee Chief Counsel David Redl as administrator of the National Telecommunications & Information Administration, the following statement may be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

“NAB congratulates David Redl on his nomination as administrator of NTIA. David has played a key role as the House Energy and Commerce Committee considered important broadcast-related issues, including spectrum auction legislation, STELA reauthorization and FCC oversight. We support his confirmation and look forward to continuing our work with him on telecommunications issues in his new position.”
