NAB Statement on TV Program Ratings Information Announcement

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the announcement by broadcast networks that they will begin displaying ratings information for programs viewed online starting in December, the following statement may be attributed to NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton:

"NAB supports the broadcast networks' initiative. This represents a voluntary, good faith effort from distributors of the most popular programming to empower and educate parents in monitoring the viewing habits of children."
