NABEF Announces Engineering Internship Recipients

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) announced the ten participants in the second annual NABEF Broadcast Technology and Engineering Internship Program. The selected applicants will have the opportunity to tour the exhibit floor of the NAB Show in Las Vegas.

The program is designed for students and recent college graduates, with an emphasis on broadcast engineering and technology. Participants will receive an eight-week paid internship at a radio or television station during the summer of 2008, as well as the opportunity to become a certified Broadcast Technologist by taking the Society of Broadcast Engineer (SBE) exam. The recipients include:

"The NAB Education Foundation continues to employ various approaches focused on increasing diversity in the broadcast engineering field," said NABEF President Marcellus Alexander. "The Engineering Internship Program provides hands-on training and exposure to today's innovative technology. This unique internship program will help participants learn the tools necessary for success in the broadcast industry."
