WASHINGTON, D.C. - The NAB Education Foundation announced today that Miss America 2007 Lauren Nelson will make a special appearance at the Service to America Awards on Monday, June 11 at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC. The celebration recognizes outstanding community service by local broadcasters and other leading citizens.
Nelson 
          is an undergraduate at the University of Central Oklahoma and 
aspires 
          to obtain a master's degree in musical theatre. Her scholastic 
achievements 
          include the UCO Freshmen Merit Scholarship, Lawton Community 
Foundation 
          Scholarship and the Renaissance Academic Award given for 
maintaining 
          a 4.0 GPA. She is the National Goodwill Ambassador for the 
Children's 
          Miracle Network and promotes Internet safety for children.

          The Service to America Awards are presented by NABEF with
