Spotlight on Service
Houston radio and television stations KPRC-TV, KHOU-TV, KTRK-TV, KRIV-TV, KRBE-FM and KUHF-FM joined together to provide crucial storm coverage as Hurricane Ike made landfall on the Texas coast. Television staff worked overtime to equip Texans with the information they needed throughout the devastation. As the area lost power, KRBE-FM and KUHT-FM picked up the television stations' signals and continued to provide the community with lifesaving reports.
