NAB Issues Statement on Supreme Court Action Regarding Fleeting Expletives
The U.S. Supreme Court accepted an appeal on March 17 to examine the policies established by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regarding the fleeting use of expletives in broadcast programming. The appeal stems from a Second U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in June, which nullified the FCC policy and questioned whether such enforcement was constitutional.

Digital Television Education Plan Reminder – Stations Should Begin Executing Plan Now
Earlier this month, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted the Digital Television (DTV) Consumer Education Plan proposed by NAB. NAB anticipates that the FCC will soon receive approval for its quarterly Form 388 from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), thus stations will have to file their first quarterly report on April 10.
