NAB Unveils On-Air Campaign Touting The Future of Broadcast TV Last week NAB unveiled a new on-air campaign promoting the future of broadcast television. "The Future of TV" campaign, which is comprised of a 30-second television and radio ad, was previewed last Monday as part of a virtual town hall with NAB leadership. NAB is making "The Future of TV" spot available to radio and television stations to air from January 4-24. Television spots, produced in both standard-definition and HD, will be distributed via satellite on December 22 and again on December 28. Radio spots are available for download at www.nab.org/TheFutureofTV. The 30-second ads were produced in both English and Spanish. "What's the future of broadcast TV?" the ad reads. "It's HD, 3D, mobile TV -- technology, not regulation from Washington, D.C." The ads direct viewers and listeners to TheFutureOfTV.org, which will launch on January 4 and highlight broadcast television's exciting future, including: advancements in broadcast television technology, the policies that will shape the future of television and the many choices and content options available to viewers through multicasting. NAB is providing the tools and resources stations will need to educate new members of Congress about the power of broadcasting. Stations can find these resources, including satellite feed information on "The Future of TV" spot, by visiting www.nab.org/TheFutureofTV. NAB is asking all stations to:
Important reminder: any spots stations air that are considered "issue advocacy" must comply with all FCC and FEC requirements, including on-air sponsorship identification and public file disclosure. Download a specialized PB-16 form here and place it in your public file. For questions, contact the NAB Legal department at (866) 682-0276. |
