The Future of TV Satellite Feed
Updated "The Future of TV" Spot Satellite Feed Information
Re-feed to take place December 28
Some stations may have experienced problems getting the closed captioning on the analog and digital SD satellite feeds on December 22. We encourage stations that plan to run these spots in analog or digital SD to take down the satellite feed tomorrow, December 28, to ensure that you receive the closed captioning.
The December 28 satellite feed will also include program ID information for the HD digital feed. You will also find that information below.
There will be three separate feeds on Tuesday at 1 p.m.: analog, standard and high-definition. Each feed will be 30-minutes long and will include the 30-second "The Future of TV" spot in English followed by the Spanish version.
The feeds will include a still shot of the phone scene in the spot as well as a matte to allow stations to insert the footage of their choice to localize and customize the spot. Stations can simply edit their footage into the shot replacing the original. Click here to learn more about how to customize the spot for your local station.
Please be aware that by customizing the spot, you will disrupt two seconds on the closed captioning. Click here to access the scripts for purposes of recaptioning if you choose.
The spot will replay in the same order multiple times during the half hour satellite feeds.

To help stations comply with these requirements, NAB has created a specialized two page PB-16 form. Please fill out the form and place it in your public file. Should you have questions, please contact NAB's Legal department at (866) 682-0276 or your station counsel.
