1. Last Chance to Tell the FCC: Keep Sports Free and Local
Live sports bring fans together. But these days, watching them on TV has gotten increasingly complicated, and fans are getting frustrated. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is currently seeking public comments on these marketplace trends, and today is the last day to make your opinion known.
Take action now to let the FCC know that you want to keep sports accessible on free, local TV channels.
ICYMI: NAB President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt joined John Ourand on “The Varsity” podcast for a conversation about the sports media landscape and why broadcasters need scale to keep sports free and accessible for fans nationwide.
The discussion covered how local broadcasters are competing with Big Tech giants for sports media rights as games continue to move behind paywalls.

The opening session will also feature a keynote conversation with Emmy Award-winning producer Jesse Collins, known for the GRAMMY Awards and Super Bowl halftime shows.
