Assignment and Transfer of Control Applications Must be Filed in LMS Starting November 18

On November 3, the Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) Media Bureau announced further steps in the transition of broadcast applications from the Consolidated Database System (CDBS) to the Licensing and Management System (LMS). Starting this Wednesday, November 18, all broadcast license assignment and transfer of control applications must be filed in the LMS system and can no longer be filed using CDBS. This applies to applications on the following FCC forms:

The new form to be filed in LMS will be Form 2100, Schedule 314, 315, 316 or 345 (corresponding to the current form number). The Media Bureau reminds applicants that the LMS system does not list applications using the new Schedule numbers. Applications are identified in a pull-down menu by their purpose shown in the parentheses above (e.g., "Assignment of Authorization non-pro forma"). The Bureau urges applicants to consult the LMS Help Center for more information about how to select the proper application. The LMS Help Center can be found here. Stations with questions about the transition of assignment and transfer applications to LMS should contact their counsel or the NAB Legal department at (866) 682-0276.
