Urge your Members of Congress to Support the Local News and Emergency Information Act

Even as stations continue to struggle from the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic, you are on the front lines providing critical, lifesaving support to your communities. That is why NAB is working hard to ensure Congress includes broadcasters in new COVID-19 relief legislation.

NAB has joined forces with numerous organizations to make our advocacy voice stronger on Capitol Hill. Click here to read an NAB Blog post on this effort. We have also sent letters to Congress that advocate on the tax treatment of PPP loan forgiveness, as well as the percentage of revenue decline necessary to receive a second PPP loan.

Former FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate also recently wrote a blog post urging Congress to expand the PPP loan program to broadcasters.

NAB continues to fight for the passage of the Local News and Emergency Information Act, which would expand broadcasters' access to Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans, and to advocate for federal advertising dollars to be allocated to local media. Act now to urge Congress to pass this legislation.
