The Record Labels are Coming for Your Bottom Line. Act Now to Protect Local Radio

Paying more in copyright and licensing fees would be crushing to many stations. The broadcaster-supported Local Radio Freedom Act (LRFA) is the best protection against a performance tax that has long been advocated by the record labels. This bill opposes any new performance royalty on broadcast radio stations for playing music. Thanks to your help, LRFA now has 186 cosponsors in the House and 24 in the Senate, but we must keep growing these numbers. Please take action today and thank your members of Congress who are supporting this legislation or encourage them to cosponsor if they are not already. If you are planning to meet with your legislators during August, click here for tools to help educate them on this issue. Send a strong message to Congress that broadcasters oppose a performance tax.
