CineCentral to Spotlight Emerging Cinematic Trends and Techniques at 2023 NAB Show

Notable professionals and organizations present craft clinics on NAB Show floor

Washington, D.C. -- The new CineCentral destination at the 2023 NAB Show gives attendees an opportunity to learn side-by-side with Hollywood's award-winning production professionals and gain skills with hands-on training inspired by NAB’s Cine Consortium. CineCentral is located in Central Hall (C7345) and adjacent to the Create Experiential Zone featuring sessions on Cine+Live, the burgeoning live production style where cinematic tools and storytelling is integrated into live entertainment. Additional workshops will be presented by American Cinema Editors, American Society of Cinematographers, International Cinematographers Guild/Local 600 and The Society of Camera Operators.

"NAB Show's commitment to the cinema industry is stronger than ever and demonstrated through curated community education and product discovery experiences in CineCentral," said Chris Brown, NAB's executive vice president and managing director, Global Connections and Events. "This has been a couple of years in the making and we are grateful to the industry organizations and technology companies powering the learning at NAB Show and, as a result, inspiring elevated cinematic experiences worldwide."

CineCentral will feature a series of paid and free craft clinics offered on a first-come, first-served basis. CineCentral will serve as a creative community "base camp" where instructors, workshop participants, creatives and technology leads will gather to engage and address questions and career challenges.

CineCentral instructors garner credits such as: "Ant-Man and the Wasp," "Joker," "Spider- Man No Way Home," "Snowfall," "Avengers: Infinity War," "Avengers: Endgame" and "Captain Marvel" with educational supporters Adorama, DJI, Fujinon, Cinema Devices, Riedel, Chapman Leonard, JL Fisher, Society of Camera Operators, SONY, ICG/ Local 600, Kodak and PERG.

"Adorama is excited and proud to be part of the new CineCentral experience, happening for the first time at NAB Show! We have long stood for providing world-class educational and hands-on experiences for our filmmaking and photo communities, so when Adorama was asked to be the headliner sponsor of CineCentral, we were honored," said Mary-Irene Marek, vice president of Brand Marketing at Adorama.

Craft Clinics include: "The Gear to Get The Shot," hosted by Chapman Leonard; "Motion Picture Film 101 - Everything you Need to Know to Start Shooting Film NOW," hosted by Kodak and PERG; "Mix Your Secret Sauce with Digital Imaging Technicians," hosted by ICG/ Local 600; "Using DJI's Ronan 4D in a Coordinated Production Environment," hosted by DJI; and "A Discussion on the Evolving Workflows for On-Set Communications in Scripted Film/TV," hosted by Riedel.
