Oasis Radio 1 Group's WBTU-FM Fort Wayne, Ind. has developed a scholarship fund in honor of a local student, Alina Bigjohnny. Alina and six others lost their lives on August 13 when a stage at the Indiana State Fair collapsed moments before the scheduled Sugarland concert. The "Lights for Alina" scholarship fund will be awarded to a student from her alma mater whose career focus is education. Alina was a graduate of Wayne High School and soon-to-be-teacher at Muncie Community Schools. WBTU-FM also helped organize a memorial event in the week after the tragedy.
