NAB Seeking Entries for 2010 International Broadcasting Excellence Awards

WKRQ-FM Cincinnati, Ohio - In 2008, WKRQ challenged area schools to collect pennies for the chance to have American Idol runner-up David Archuleta come to their school. The students met the challenge and raised more than $6,000 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. In the middle of an economic downturn, the station showed you don't need money to make a difference, by creating "The Q102 Kindness Project" which encouraged listeners and staff members alike to "pay it forward" with kind deeds.
