Sean Gupta

P. Sean Gupta is the senior vice president of Corporate Development for TEGNA. He is also an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School and teaches a class on "The Business of Television and Streaming."

Previously, he was the senior vice president of Streaming Strategy for Paramount+ and Pluto TV, the senior vice president of Strategy and Business Operations at Paramount's BET Networks and a founder and member of the board of directors of BET+, BET’s over-the-top (OTT) streaming service. Before his nine-year tenure at Paramount, Gupta was at TWC-Media and an investment banker at Deutsche Bank on Wall Street.

He is an Emmy voter and was featured in a 2018 Harvard Business School case study. In 2020, he was recognized by CableFax as one of the "Most Influential Multi-Ethnic Media Executives."

He lives in New York City and holds a bachelor's degree from The University of Chicago and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School.
