PILOT Innovation Challenge Increases Number of Winners

Because all innovation begins with an idea, NAB launched the PILOT Innovation Challenge in 2016 to encourage and gather the best ideas for broadcasters to better serve their communities. Thanks to a two-year $200,000 grant from Knight Foundation, PILOT increased the number of Innovation Challenge winners in 2017. Over 150 ideas were submitted to address the challenge question, “What is an unconventional way broadcasters and other local media could serve communities?” Six winning projects were selected from the submissions.
