NAB
Broadcast Engineering Conference Sessions Now Online
This year's NAB Broadcast Engineering Conference (BEC), held from
April 5 - 11, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of the 2013 NAB
Show, was jam-packed with interesting technical presentations and
lively panel discussions. Even though the conference is over, a
large portion of the content presented is available in the NAB BEC
Proceedings, which compiles almost 70 papers presented at the BEC,
available to order online at the NAB
Store. (The Proceedings are available either as a book with
CD, or as a CD only.)
In
addition, through the NAB
Show Playback online portal, you can find audio recordings of
the presentations synchronized with the PowerPoint slides used.
Using the Advanced Search feature of the site allows you to display
all the 2013 BEC recordings (sample screen capture at right shows
user interface).
To use NAB Show
Playback, here are some helpful tips:
Access to the online content can be purchased starting at $249
(pricing depends upon your registration status at the 2013 NAB Show).
Show attendees who registered for a SMART Pass receive complimentary
access to Playback. Once purchased, access is granted to all of
the conference sessions available.
A number of complimentary partial presentations are accessible
through the Playback home page. Selecting a complimentary session
will immediately take you to the user interface so you can sample
how the presentations have been captured for online access before
purchasing access to the entire online library.
If you previously purchased access to Playback, you should have
already received an email that contains your username and password.
If you registered for NAB Show SMART Pass, you received access to
Playback as part of your registration, and should also have received
an email that contains your username and password. Use those to
login. (If you did not receive this email you can contact Playback
for assistance by sending an email to multiviewmediasupport@multiview.com).
Your purchase gives you access to all of the content available
on Playback, which includes the BEC, the Broadcast Management Conference,
Super Sessions, General Sessions, the Cloud Computing Conference,
the Disruptive Media Conference and the Technology Summit on Cinema.
