1. NAB Urges FCC to Set Transition Date for NextGen TV
One big thing: NAB has filed comments with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the ongoing proceeding to authorize the full transition to NextGen TV.
In these comments, NAB urges the FCC to set a clear, date-certain sunset for ATSC 1.0, to ensure continued access to free, over-the-air broadcast signals by updating receiver standards and maintaining MVPD carriage of ATSC 3.0 signals and advanced features, and to protect broadcasters’ ability to deliver high-value programming.”

4. NAB Show Registration is Open
Registration is officially open for the 2026 NAB Show, taking place on April 18-22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

5. Now Accepting Entries for Service to America Awards
The Service to America Awards honor excellence in community service philanthropy and the impact made by local television and radio stations across the country.
Last week Jenn Flemming, vice president, NABPAC and Advocacy Initiatives, gave an advocacy update at the Gray Media annual strategy meeting. Gray employees were the largest NABPAC participant in 2025, raising over $100,000 from more than 100 donors.
