1. Leadership Foundation Hosts DEI Forum

NAB Leadership Foundation HR and DEI Forum

The NAB Leadership Foundation hosted the Human Resources and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Forum. The one-day symposium, open to senior human resources and DEI executives and professionals in the broadcast industry, focused on creating dialogue and exchanging ideas among broadcast companies regarding talent management, retention and DEI best practices.

  • "The Foundation's mission is to equip our industry with the best tools to attract, train and retain the innovative and talented broadcasters that will shape our future," said NAB Leadership FOundation President and NAB Chief Diversity Officer Michelle Duke. "This forum will help hiring managers and broadcast executives understand the needs of their employees and ensure organizations are well-positioned to meet the challenges of tomorrow."

4. Nominations Open for NAB Technology Awards

Nominations are being accepted now through January 9 for the 2023 NAB Technology Awards, to be presented at the 2023 NAB Show in Las Vegas.

6. NAB's Charlyn Stanberry Named a Top Lobbyist

πŸ† NAB Vice President of Government Relations Charlyn Stanberry has been named one of National Institute for Lobbying & Ethics (NILE) 2022 top lobbyists, grassroots and PAC professionals.

NAB President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt; Executive Vice President, Industry Affairs April Carty-Sipp; Senior Vice President, State, International and Board Relations Sue Keenom; Senior Vice President, Communications Ann Marie Cumming and Senior Advocacy Communications Strategist Alex Siciliano attended the Library of American Broadcasting Foundation's Giants of Broadcasting luncheon in New York.

  • πŸŽ‰ Emceed by ABC News' Juju Chang, the event honored former NAB board member Bob Pittman, former NAB board member and current NABPAC trustee Bud Walters and past Digital Leadership Award recipient Adam Symson, among others. Carty-Sipp sits on the board of the Library.

Radio Ink Forecast Panel Discussion

LeGeyt also attended and spoke at the Radio Ink Forecast 2023 in New York. "It couldn't be a more important time for broadcasters. Because of what you do locally, Washington is finding ways to help you. You stand out with fact-based information, boots on the ground and familiar faces," he said in his interview with Hearst Television President and former NAB Board Chair Jordan Wertlieb.
