1. DOJ Releases Revised Rules Safeguarding Journalists

The Department of Justice has adopted rules regarding obtaining information or records from members of the news media banning the use of subpoenas, warrants or court orders to seize reporters' records.

  • "NAB strongly supports the codification of new rules safeguarding journalists' right to report the news without the threat of government interference," said NAB President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt.

3. Deadline Approaching for BEITC Proposals

βŒ› The deadline for proposals for technical papers and panel sessions for the 2023 NAB Show Broadcast Engineering and IT (BEIT) Conference is November 4, 2022.

  • Selected papers will be presented during the program, taking place April 15-19, 2023 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and included in the official "Proceedings of the 2023 Broadcast Engineering and IT Conference."
