NAB Leadership Visits Broadcasters Across the Country

✈️ NAB executives are always on the move, meeting with broadcasters throughout America to discuss the many issues facing the industry today. Recently, staff have been to Alabama, Florida, North Dakota, Nebraska and more.

  • NAB President and CEO Curtis LeGeyt gave keynote remarks at the New Mexico Broadcasters Association (NMBA) Annual Convention on August 5. Following his remarks, Paula Maes, president and CEO of the NMBA and Charlie Blanco, chairman of the NMBA board, presented LeGeyt with the NMBA Friends of Broadcasting award.
  • Sue Keenom, senior vice president, State, International and Board Relations, and Nicole Gustafson, senior vice president, Government Relations, were in Fargo, N.D., for the North Dakota Broadcasters Association Annual Leadership Conference, where Gustafson interviewed Rep. Kelly Armstrong (ND-AL) about issues important to broadcasting.

  • Gustafson also traveled to Lincoln, Neb., for the Nebraska Broadcasters Association (NBA) convention, where she met with Jim Timm, president and executive director, NBA, and Allison Mazzei, president and executive director, Kansas Association of Broadcasters.

  • Sam Matheny, chief technology officer and executive vice president, Technology, NAB, visited the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters in June, where he gave presentations about NEXTGEN TV, covered connected cars and HD Radio. He also recently traveled to Alabama, where he gave the opening keynote, "From Razor Blade to Cutting Edge," a look at broadcast technologies past, present and future.
  • Michelle Duke, chief diversity officer, NAB, and president, NAB Leadership Foundation, gave a webinar presentation to the Missouri broadcasters convention titled "Strategies to Recruit and Retain Diverse Talent."
  • April Carty-Sipp, executive vice president, Industry Affairs, NAB, recently met with the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, where she discussed ways to reach out to legislators during August recess, NAB's advocacy agenda and NAB member benefits programs.
