Position Summary

The Marketing and Events Manager is responsible for development and implementation of the marketing and promotions for all NAB Education Foundation (NABEF) events, programs and initiatives. Will be responsible for the maintenance of the website for NABEF. This position is also responsible for the management and coordination of NABEF events including receptions and other fundraising events as well as assisting with the Service to America gala.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement annual marketing plans and materials. Work closely with the NABEF team and NAB Marketing department to develop and execute marketing timelines.

Planning, implementation and follow-up for all special events including coordination of event logistics, publicity, including public relations, advertising and collateral material design, production and distribution. Supervise and coordinate with event contractors as necessary.

Write content for all NABEF promotional materials including brochures, annual report and program applications.

Maintenance of content on NABEF website.

Develop and execute a clearly defined social media strategy to support marketing campaign while increasing brand equity and online awareness. Create, maintain and execute editorial calendar and posting schedule.

Write and manage content for interactive promotions including emails and e-newsletters; supervise copywriting/editing and technical requirements for content. Create, maintain and execute timelines.

Work closely with NAB Communications department to outline a public relations strategy for NABEF events and/or programs. Determine when press releases are necessary and track media hits.

Internal/External Relations

Reports to NABEF Vice President. Works extensively with various NAB departments, including Marketing, Communications, Broadcast Education Association, Legal and Government Relations departments. Serves as contact person for assigned projects; responds to inquiries and requests for information. Works closely with a marketing advisory group. May interact with NAB and NABEF board members.

Additional Requirements

Ability to work well independently in a fast-paced environment on several projects concurrently and possesses excellent communication, organizational, creative thinking and leadership skills.

Excellent creative writing skills are required.

Project management, organizational and prioritizing skills; problem solving and organizational skills; attention to detail imperative.

Ability to look for ways to improve and promote quality of marketing for NABEF.

Must be highly creative and innovative, a team player and able to work well at a fast pace under tight deadlines.

Knowledge and understanding of digital trends and latest in social media inn/ovation.

Proficient with social listening tools such as HootSuite and Google Alerts.<

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge and experience in database programs, SalesForce database program preferred.
