NAB Board of Directors Election Update

The 2011 NAB Board of Directors election is for odd-numbered radio districts and six of the at-large television seats. Ballots will be emailed on Tuesday, March 1, and must be submitted electronically by 11:59 p.m. EDT, Tuesday, March 22, 2011.

For the Radio Board of Directors, there are only races in four districts:

District 7 - Florida, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands
Bill Hendrich, Cox Media Group Jacksonville
Dave Hoxeng, ADX Communications

District 15 - Tennessee and Arkansas
Katie Gambill, Five Star Radio Group (Saga Communications)
Michael Oppenheimer, Clear Channel Radio

District 19 - North Texas and Oklahoma
Bill Coleman, Team Radio
Steven Long, KWLD, Wayland Baptist University

District 25 - Oregon and Washington
Bill Cooper, KBPS-AM
Michael O'Shea, Cascade Radio Group/Saga Communications
Robert Prasil, Inland Northwest Broadcasting
Bob Proffitt, Alpha Broadcasting
Andrew Skotdal, S-R Broadcasting, Inc. (KRKO-AM)

The Television Board of Directors election is for six of the at-large television seats. The candidates are:

Jim Conschafter, Media General, Inc.
Paul Dughi, Cowles California Media Company
Michael A. Dunn, KUED Channel 7
Paul Karpowicz, Meredith Corporation - Local Media Group
Bill Lamb, Block Communications, Inc.
Paul H. McTear Jr., Raycom Media, Inc.
Ralph M. Oakley, Quincy Newspapers, Inc.
Perry Sook, Nexstar Broadcasting Group Inc.
Danny Thomas, KOAM-TV
