NABEF Service to America Awards – Call for Station Entries

Every day, broadcasters serve their local communities: They provide a lifeline in times of crisis and disaster relief in the aftermath; they raise money and awareness for people in need and for charitable causes; and they participate in community events and donate airtime to support community issues.

On one special evening each year, NABEF is proud to honor the public service commitment of our nation's free, local radio and television broadcasters and their community partners. On Monday, June 11, 2012, the NAB Education Foundation will host the 14th annual Celebration of Service to America Awards in Washington, D.C. to recognize the incredible efforts of local radio and television stations to serve their local communities.

You deserve recognition for your service to the American public. We encourage you to submit your entries today! Complete details and entry rules and procedures are available here.

Five outstanding radio and television broadcast stations will be selected to receive the 2012 Celebration of Service to America Awards. Station winners receive airfare, hotel and a complimentary ticket to the dinner. Winners are recognized before an audience including broadcast industry leaders, members of Congress, leadership from the Federal Communications Commission and the winner of the Service to America Leadership Award. The Leadership Award has been presented to President Bill Clinton, First Lady Laura Bush, Sir Elton John, Jeff Bridges and Quincy Jones, among others.
