Congressional PSAs Now Available for Broadcast

In May, NAB's Public Service Initiatives division invited members of Congress and their families to tape two, professionally-produced, 30-second public service announcements (PSAs) on issues of concern to their constituents. For the past 25 years, NAB has hosted this Congressional Public Service Announcement program during off-election cycles. Nearly 200 members of Congress and their spouses from 46 states and Puerto Rico participated in this year's program. They appeared in announcements on issues including, breast cancer awareness, mental health awareness, skin cancer prevention, heart health, volunteerism, emergency preparedness, literacy and online predators.

NAB is pleased to offer these announcements to stations to air through December 15, 2011.

Stations can select and download the broadcast-quality PSAs featuring their representatives, who participated in this year's program, at http://nab.psamedia.org/. To access regional spots follow these steps:

  1. Register to create a login account. A confirmation email will be sent to you automatically.
  2. Be sure to close the original Internet window, then click on the link in your confirmation email to re-launch the Congressional PSA website.
  3. Click on your specific state folder from the homepage.
  4. Select and download the PSAs featuring the members of Congress that represent your station's district or state.
