On June 9, 2011, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) will host a Virtual Roundtable event with industry, state and local government leaders in the emergency alert and warning field. Representatives of NAB, state broadcasters associations, radio, television and other Emergency Alert System (EAS) participants will discuss EAS technical challenges and EAS community outreach and engagement activities in advance of a nationwide test of the EAS system to be held later this year.
