Steven Levitan, co-creator and executive producer of the hit comedy "Modern Family," will be featured in a Super-Session on Wednesday, April 13 during the 2011 NAB Show. The session will examine the creative process involved in the development and execution of ABC's mockumentary-style hit series. Levitan will also discuss his views on the future of the situation comedy, the advent of on-line platforms such as Hulu and Netflix, and the economics of creating television shows for broadcast networks versus cable. Levitan will be interviewed by Joe Flint, staff writer for the Los Angeles Times.

"Modern Family" debuted in 2009 to universal critical acclaim, and it has continued to build audience share. "Not since Frasier has a sitcom offered such an ideal blend of heart and smarts, or proven itself so effortlessly adept at so many comic variations, from subtle wordplay to big-laugh slapstick to everything in between," wrote USA Today television critic Robert Bianco.

Prior to creating "Modern Family," Levitan wrote and produced the NBC comedies "Just Shoot Me!," "Wings" and "Frasier," winning three Emmys as co-executive producer for "Frasier" in the Outstanding Comedy Series category in 1996. His Hollywood credits include a Producers Guild Award and Television Critics Association Award for "Frasier," a People's Choice Award for the NBC sitcom "Stark Raving Mad" and a Golden Globe nomination for "Just Shoot Me!"
