The Copyright Royalty Board (CRB) has released its Initial Determination of Rates and Terms for noninteractive webcasting during 2011-2015. In their decision, the judges adopted the rates and terms of the NAB/SoundExchange agreement in its entirety, thus making the NAB deal applicable to all eligible commercial broadcasters that stream under the statutory license, regardless of whether they have affirmatively opted into the NAB/SoundExchange agreement.

The CRB also announced rates for "pureplay" webcasters and noncommercial webcasters. These rates will apply to eligible webcasters that have not previously opted into one of the voluntary agreements negotiated with SoundExchange.
