NABEF Connections Mentoring Initiative - Application Deadline November 15

The National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation (NABEF) is accepting nominations for the premier mentoring and leadership development program for broadcast professionals – the Connections Mentoring Initiative.

This selective one-year program is designed to advance the leadership skills of women and people of color. More than 50 percent of Connections graduates are promoted during or after their participation in the program.

NABEF is looking for forward-thinking, action-oriented, high-potential professionals whose careers would benefit from their involvement in Connections. The program pairs broadcasters (protégés) with industry executives and station owners (mentors).

Protégés receive:

  • Access to mentors from top radio and television broadcasting companies (see the list of some of the former mentor’s companies here);
  • Participation in a one-day leadership forum held in conjunction with the NAB Show in Las Vegas;
  • Assessment of their behavioral styles and career trajectory; as well as insight to their leadership skills, dealing with change, managing up and more; and
  • Productive mentoring sessions using video cams and Skype.

This is an exclusive opportunity for existing and emerging leaders who can positively impact your company and the broadcasting industry. There are no costs to participate in the Connections Mentoring Initiative.

Please take the time now to nominate a potential Connections fellow. We also encourage referrals of multi-racial, multi-ethnic mentor candidates. For more information and nomination and application forms, follow these links:

Thank you for supporting and strengthening our industry’s talent.
